Cabling Panel Mount cable panel installation process requirements

Panel Mount cable is usually installed on the national 86 bottom box, but also on the 120 bottom box or in the ground socket box. Regardless of which, the installation features are uniform: 

The panel is fixed on the ears of the bottom box. Some ears of the bottom box can be adjusted to make the panel horizontal and vertical, while others are not. If the ears of the base box are not adjustable, a framed (with border) type socket panel should be used.

The bottom box should be reserved for about 150mm of cable, on the one hand to pull the panel out, and on the other hand to prevent termination failure is re-terminated. When tucking the reserved cable into the bottom box, care should be taken to keep a record of the turning radius of the cable.

Panel Mount cable panel installation requires horizontal and vertical straight, the height between the two bottom corners is not more than 2mm, in fact, for experienced inspectors, the difference of 0.5mm can be seen. Therefore, the panel installation should be used to measure the height of the two bottom corners to the ground using a scale.

Cabling Panel Mount cable panels should be kept at the same height as other panels (especially power panels). As the number of power supply panel and wiring panel is the most in the building, and the installation of power supply panel is before the installation of wiring panel, so the installation height of special power supply panel should be kept at the same height with it as much as possible.

2. Panel installation process

Panel Mount cable panel installation should be installed after the wall is painted. Clean your hands and tools, do not dirty the wall when installing, and do not damage the stucco filler embedded next to the bottom box.

Remove the frame cover of the panel to expose the mounting screw holes. Install the panel label paper in the Plexiglas label frame on the panel according to the twisted pair number.

Snap the terminated module into the panel, paying attention to the direction of the module can not be reversed, otherwise the jumper can not be inserted into the module. According to the direction of the cable out after the module, follow the trend of the reserved twisted pair coils in the bottom box, while pushing the panel to the wall.

Use screws to fix the panel to the wall gradually. When screwing the screws, you should pay attention to adjust the balance of the panel to ensure that the height difference between the two bottom corners of the panel does not exceed 2mm (if visual inspection is controversial, you can use a tape measure or homemade ruler to measure and compare the height difference between the two bottom corners).

Cover the frame cover of the panel. Stand back a few steps and check if the panels are parallel and adjust them immediately if you feel they are not installed properly. Panel installation is not complicated, all that is required is patience.
